First seeds go in

Today really felt like the coming of spring. We had lunch outside (in a few layers to be sure) and saw the blue tits viewing their prospective nest box and the hares and deer checking out our newly, and possibly unwisely, unfenced garden.

We started with some Red Baron onions which will hopefully be ready for baby roasts or pickled by Juneish, some purple sprouting broccolli called summer purple which should be ready in late summer we hope. A pack of globe artichoke seeds went in as well to hopefully produce three or four strong plants to put amoungst the wildflowers.

We also got started some basil, radish, mizuna and parsley which will hopefully be ready as micro herbs for a party on the 5th of april.
