A summer roast

On Saturday we had a roasting wedding near Devises, Wiltshire in the glorious summer sunshine.

We served roast free range chicken with orange zest, bay, thyme and garlic, the guests carved at the table. This was accompanied by a heritage tomato, buffalo mozzarella and basil salad, chargrilled aubergine, courgette and piedmont peppers and bowls of new potatoes with butter and chives.

We finished off with sharing slates of mini puddings,lemon curd tarts with juniper sugar and sloe gin syrup, brown sugar and hazelnut meringues, Chambord cream and raspberries and salted caramel and bitter chocolate brownies
