A new(t) arrival

As we went to collect some water for the squashes this morning there was a visitor paddling for its life in the rain water butt.

Nigel the smooth skinned newt has come to stay, we have deposited him in our modest pond and hope that he will stay on and munch some of our snails. Although three hours later he was nowhere to be seen just like our elusive frog.
