Bantams and Asparagus


We had some friends over last night to celebrate the first of our asparagus harvest.

We decided to make a whole evening of it, menu below

Poached bantam eggs, asparagus, chive flowers, black garlic butter

Trout fishing - Cook your own trout in our fire pit and drop it into a fennel and cumin puree topped with tomato essence

Lamb rump, broad beans, peas, salsa verde, bbq roasted potatoes

Pick and mix - Make your own dessert and alcohol combo, including, kaluha, soy merengue, salted caramel fudge, creme de menthe, chocolate pooping candy, sauternes, plum jelly, gooseberry fool and more

We must have been enjoying ourselves as we only managed to get a pic of the first course
