Preserved Lemons and Limes


The weather is warm and showery in our little oasis and the garden is very happy!

We planted out globe artichokes yesterday onto the verge in place of an old and overgrown hedge and our golden hubbard and crown prince squashes will be ready to put into our homemade pallet planters before long.

We are prepping a for a wedding this weekend and ended up with a citrus surplus so decided to preserve them in salt with cloves, bay and peppercorns. They should be ready in three to six months.
